When this coin was released, it sold out from the U.S. Mint within minutes. This is the first ever Palladium coin the Mint has produced as part of its 225th Anniversary celebration. Only 15,000 coins were minted, and they feature a $25 denomination. This beautiful example is certified by NGC in perfect MS70condition, with Early Releases and High Relief notations. The obverse design of the palladium coin is an adaptation of Adolph A. Weinman’s ‘Winged Liberty design used on the obverse of the so-called ‘Mercury dime,’ and the reverse design is based upon Weinman’s Eagle design for the 1907 American Institute of Architects Only 164 coins are graded in NGC perfect Proof 70 that are High Relief and Early Release.
