In 2003 we saw the price of Gold continue its steady climb and in turn, we saw the interest in Gold Coins and Bullion increase. This marked the 18th yearly release of the Gold American Eagle Series. The Mint increased production in all denominations and the one-tenth ounce piece saw just over a 6% increase compared to the previous year. In total, over 245,000 one-tenth ounce Gold Eagles were minted and less than 2% have been graded perfect 70 by NGC. This scarce coin is a great addition for investors and collectors alike. It is perfectly struck and still bears its beautiful luster.
