Prior to 1992, all Gold American Eagles depicted the date using Roman Numerals. The 1992 Gold American Eagle is the first in the series to use Arabic Numbers which are still being used presently. There were just over 59,000 one-quarter ounce Gold American Eagles minted in 1992 and since its inception only 228 pieces have been graded a perfect MS70 by NGC. It features blazing original mint luster and crisp devices, while the details are sharply defined with velvety smooth fields. This rare Gold Eagle is certain to please any collector.

- Its design features a male bald eagle on the reverse, flying back to a female eagle and her young in the nest. The male is carrying an olive branch. The obverse features Lady Liberty walking with the sun’s rays highlighted behind her, which design was adapted from Augustus Saint-Gaudens.
