The Morgan dollar was a United States dollar coin minted from 1878 to 1904, and again in 1921. It was the first standard silver dollar minted since production of the previous design, the Seated Liberty dollar, which ceased due to the passage of the Coinage Act of 1873, which also ended the free coining of silver. In 1881, the San Francisco Mint struck over 12,000,000 Silver Morgan dollars and less than a fraction of a percent have received the MS65 grade by PCGS. This coin is highly lustrous and will make a great addition to your collection. Furthermore, this piece has been by the Certified Acceptance Corporation. CAC holds coins to a higher standard so collectors can be confident in the value of their pieces.
